Starting your own beauty business

Many students come to us in the first instance and say they want to do every beauty course we offer

Our advice is start with what you feel passionate about.

This could be the nail courses route or lash and brow courses or make up courses.

We have so many courses to choose from that it can be a minefield, but we can help and offer advice on where to start so that you are not spending too much money on beauty treatments you may not use.

Then you can build up your beauty business slowly and find out what treatments your clients are asking for.

If you want to be a beauty therapist, maybe choose waxing courses, facial courses, manicure and pedicure courses as a starting point.

Whereas if eyes are your passion, choose eyelash and eyebrow courses.

Practise straight after your chosen courses and get proficient in your chosen treatments before moving on to others.

Starting your own beauty business costs money, so it is best to monitor this to get the best from your beauty training and make sure you gain clients for that treatment.

Also products need to be purchased as well as the training and premises paid for, whether working from home or renting a space or going mobile, everything needs to be paid for and soon adds up.

Create your brand name and image so that your potential clients will recognise you and get used to seeing your brand around on social media and the internet, so you get known for the quality of your work and build your own excellent reputation in the beauty industry after your beauty training.

Don’t be the cheapest just be the best at what you do and focus on the nail, lash, brow or beauty treatments you have just trained in.
