You will be taking all your worn PPE with you at the end of your course to dispose of yourself

Course theory may be undertaken through our online training platform.

Due to covid we have amended how we run our courses. All theory is now done online, during your face to face session your model will be required to arrive at the same time as you to the course. The face to face session will consist of live demos and practical work on your model. If you have any questions please contact us.

Please remember to bring something to eat for lunch (depending on course time & duration)
Do not have any false nails, extensions  or varnish on (For nail courses)

If you have booked a course where you are working on each other please remember to come with no lashes on for lash courses and no nails for nail courses and no makeup for makeup courses etc.  It would be unfair to expect other students wait whilst removing nails and lashes.  In this instance you may be turned away and asked to come back on another date at your expense meaning you will lose your deposit.

Models – when bringing a model to work on for any training course they will not be in the training room until required.  They will also not be watching any demonstrations or asking questions about the treatment/training.

Nail Course Information

When attending a classroom nail course, there is only so much knowledge that can be taught in one or 2 days, so only simple shaping is covered on beginners and clear acrylic or gel with tips.   If  what you have learnt is not practised straight away to make the most of your new skills, much of your learning can be lost and or forgotten and you may need to refresh again.  Nails is a lifetime of learning and it is suggested that ongoing learning is taken once you have the basic knowledge.

If you have special requirements, please discuss with us prior to the course date
You need to inform us of allergies, sensitivities or medical issues, pregnancy or breast feeding well in advance of the course date.

Contact Lenses

Contact lenses cannot be worn when having eyelash extensions done.  Please ask your model to bring either spare contact lenses or glasses as they will need to remove them when being practised on.

Case studies are required and the certificate is NOT issued on the day.

Performing lash extensions is an intricate and involved treatment that requires the correct eyesight to apply them safely and in accordance with insurance requirements.  If the trainer notices that lashes are not being applied safely and correctly using too much glue or other issues with incorrect application due to eyesight or any other reasons at all, certificates will not be issued and you may be asked to return for an assessment when there is a space on another date.  There may be a charge for this.  Case studies will also be required until an acceptable level of safety and standards has been achieved.

Lash kits

If you purchase a kit from us it will contain certain lashes thicknesses and curls.  There are many thicknesses and curls of lashes on the market and when you start practising you will need to add to your kit to accommodate all client lash types.

NOTE all our liquid lash products, glues removers primers etc are UK manufactured for us and comply to all UK regulations for safe use.  Check when buying lash products that they comply to UK regulations to be legal and safe to use on clients. All products must have SDS sheets and carry a full safety assessment to be legal to sell and use in the UK.  It is possible that very cheap products may not comply. Check the back label and look for the address and what Country the products are made before purchasing or ask the seller before buying a kit.

We only allow legal safe products on our courses.

Fast Track to Russian Volume Lash Courses

This is a 2 session course it is very intense.  If you book 2 sessions together and do not have a sufficient level of safety and standard of application on session one,  session 2 may not go ahead and would have to be a later date.   The trainers decision and assessment of work is final.

Russian Volume fans are very tricky to make.  If on session 2 the Russian Volume course you cannot make and apply the fans correctly a certificate will NOT be issued.  Case studies will be required or you may even be asked to come back for further practise and assessment.

Eyesight

Excellent eyesight is required to perform lash extensions.  Glasses or contact lenses may may be required.  If eyesight is the reason the lashes are not applied correctly on the day, case studies will be required or you may even be asked to come back for further practise and assessment.

If you bring a model to practice on for any of the courses or you are acting as a model for another student the model must agree to be compliant and allow the student to perform the treatment safely and correctly.  If this is not the case and the model is not suitable, you will be asked to re-book the course for another date charged accordingly.  For any eye treatment courses such as lash extensions, the model is agreeing by booking or attending Top Talons courses to act as a model that they will keep eyes closed at all times during the treatment unless advised by the trainer.  You are agreeing to inform any models you may bring of this before their attendance.

If you have arranged to bring a model with you (or arrive later ) and they do not arrive you will need to come back on another day at your own expense.

Models are agreeing to stay until the end of the session.

When choosing your model it is important to let them know that it is their full responsibilty to let you the trainee know if they have any contra indications or if they have any health condidtions or on any medication that will effect them having the required treatment done. It is your full responsisbilty to choose a suitable model for the course you are completing. We are here for full support and to guide you in choosing a model. If a certificate is not received on the training day, it is because we want you to be the best you can be.

We offer free support after your training and case studies may be required to receive your certificate

This is sending pictures by e mail of your practising work for the trainer to assess and give feedback

How many case studies may be required?

This will depend on the case study itself that is sent in

Certificates have to be earned and not just given to anyone regardless of level of work, as Top Talons want to help you get clients and more importantly keep clients coming back and so the level of work has to be to a very good standard.

Free further help.

It may be that even after case studies the trainer feel a student may need to come back for further help if the case studies are not to the correct standard.

This is free for one session within 3 months.

A upfront £50 charge will be made which will be refundable upon attendance for the free session.
