Hybrid Lash Extensions
Classic lash extension are where 1 extension is placed onto 1 isolated natural lashes also known as individual lashes.
This can double the amount of lashes a client has and give a mascara effect without having to wear mascara.
The treatment can take around 60 – 90 minutes depending on the experience of the lash technician.
Classic lashes are thicker than volume lashes and can vary from 0.10mm to 0.25mm and the length depends on the clients natural lashes.
These classic individual lases would need infilling every 2-3 weeks and a new set applying periodically.
A huge trend right now is hybrid lash extensions and we offer hybrid lash extension courses where you can learn this technique.
Hybrid lashes are a combination of applying classic and volume – very often using special pre fanned volume lashes which are the easiest to use, creating both fullness and a messy appearance in one set of lashes. Of course hand made volume fans are also used if a tech is trained in Russian Volume fan making.
Hybrid lashes are created where a classic individual lash is applied either side of a volume lash and this process keeps being repeated until a mix of 50/50 blend of volume and classic lashes is in the finished set.
This can create a thicker fluffier set than classic alone or the client.
The natural lash must be able to support the volume fans and this would be learnt on our hybrid lash course
