Types of manicures
Manicures are a great course to start your nail career .
They are not difficult to learn and many clients up and down the Country have a manicure done to keep their nails in tip top condition.
Although a manicure could be done by yourself at home, many clients choose to go to a nail salon for a professional manicure, and this can be learnt on our manicure courses.
A manicure involves filing and shaping of the fingernails, including pushing back and clipping the cuticles if necessary, buffing, hand scrub, hand and arm massage and polish of some kind whether gel polish or nail polish.
A manicure can take anywhere between 20 -45 minutes depending if it is a luxury manicure or a file and polish and cuticle work.
Manicures can be performed every 2-4 weeks to keep fingernails in good condition and check the health of the natural nail before a colour change is applied.
Apart from making sure your hands and nails look and feel good, a manicure can make you feel relaxed and have a feeling of well being.
There are different kinds of manicures
Simple file and polish – some clients will opt for a file polish and simple cuticle work and can include a gel polish application
