Eyelash Extension Course Jargon

On our lash extension courses contain so much theory and lash extension jargon, so you can fully understand all aspects of applying lash extension to your clients.

Sensitivities – lash glue fumes can potentially cause sensitivities and pink eye.  On our lash courses we teach how to avoid this happening.

Shock curing – curing is where the adhesive dries.  If an activator is used and too much is applied, the glue can go into check causing brittle bonds.

Retention – is how long a clients lashes will last before lash infills are needed.  We teach on our lash courses how to get the best retention and the longest lasting lash extension.

Stickies – this is where the lash extensions can stick to the lash pad and we teach on our courses how to check for stickies and how to help avoid them.

Viscosity – lash glues are different thicknesses and this is the viscosity.  Very thin adhesives are generally faster curing time. Some lash techs like very thin viscosity adhesives, and some lash techs prefer a thicker one.

All adhesives the main ingredient is cyanoacrylate.   Lash glues are very strong and as such should only be used by a trained lash technician who has attended a training course, so after the lash training the lash tech will be able to safely use the adhesive.
